Tahitian Pearl Art
Pearls are like no other jewelry, they are unique, one of a kind and from the sea. Marla's artistry and heritage weave a tapestry of beauty and culture.

Pearl Artist Marla Braun-Miller
Marla was born on Maui and raised in Tahiti, so her work carries both cultures in a very authentic way. She’s spent over 30 years here on Maui, and what’s unique is—before jewelry—her life was actually with horses.
She followed that passion and built her own stables in Lahaina, Kahalawai Farms. That connection to the land and the Paniolo lifestyle—the Hawaiian cowboy tradition—is really where her designs begin.
The Paniolo/Hawaiian Cowboys are known for incredible craftsmanship—leatherwork, braiding, building their own tools. Marla translates that same discipline and detail into her jewelry. She combines Tahitian pearls with hand-braided leather elements, so every piece has this balance of strength and elegance. Nothing is mass-produced—each pearl is unique, each piece is individually crafted.
No two pearls are the same, when you choose one… it’s truly yours. There isn’t another one exactly like it anywhere.
